Greetings, everyone! I have a request for all teachers who have not yet submitted your teaching requests. Due to the return of the daily class listings in the book (yay!!) and the desire to cut down on paper and printing costs, class descriptions are to be 150 characters or less.
I know that's not a lot of space to describe a class, but that's the way the Powers That Be want it. PLEASE stay within the 150 characters or I have to e-chase you down and ask you to shorten it anyway. I just sent out several emails of this nature and it's time-consuming for both myself and the teachers having to re-work their descriptions.
Please feel free to cross-post this to other lists and such that I may not be on.

Re: A plea from the Pennsic ME coordinator...
Sun, April 12, 2009 - 7:29 AMThat's rough. I'm having a hard time keeping it down to 150 characters and still getting out the necessary info. -

Sun, April 12, 2009 - 10:01 AMTry having two descriptions. And find someone to host a Pennsic ME page on their web site and put the longer description there.

Re: A plea from the Pennsic ME coordinator...
Mon, April 13, 2009 - 7:05 AMWe know it wasn't your decision. Sorry it's created extra work for you in what must already be a rough job.
I did think of putting more of a description of my classes up on Turku's site, but I think most people don't read about the classes til they get their programs at Pennsic, where it's hard to go online and get more details. -

Re: A plea from the Pennsic ME coordinator...
Mon, April 13, 2009 - 7:14 AMhappily, Basina and I are working something out so y'all can have longer descriptions in the Haberci. I will contact all of the teachers when we've got it all figured out. If you've already submitted a too-long and then an edited description, I've kept the too-long one in case this was a possibility. For those of you who have not submitted your classes yet, I'll post instructions on how to deal with the different limits for the Pennsic book and for the Haberci. Stay tuned!!
